TAMPAN expresses gratitude for public support following Ogogo’s passing

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nigerians and individuals worldwide for the support they extended to the association and its members following the passing of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, widely known as Ogogo. In a statement released by the association's Global President, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, TAMPAN conveyed its sincere appreciation for the prayers, calls, messages, visits, and other forms of assistance provided during Ogogo's illness and after his death on Sunday, August 23, at the age of 66.

The statement emphasized the significance of the outpouring of love and solidarity, stating, "Your love and solidarity mean so much to us. Thank you all for standing with us. May God bless you." Ogogo's death was confirmed by fellow actor Jide Kosoko. His burial took place in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday, following Islamic rites, with numerous colleagues and associates from the entertainment industry in attendance, including Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko, Faithia Williams, Femi Adebayo, Dele Odule, and Mr Latin.

TAMPAN's gratitude acknowledged the outpouring of support for Ogogo and his family during both his illness and subsequent death, expressing appreciation to those who remained by the actor and his loved ones throughout this challenging period.
