Sydney Sweeney takes on Tom Cruise with death-defying Airplane stunt

Sydney Sweeney, the 28-year-old actress known for her roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus, has added a new activity to her list of thrilling pursuits - wing-walking. The daring stunt involved Sweeney attaching herself to the top of a biplane, where she held a camera and appeared calm as the aircraft performed daring maneuvers, including flipping upside down.

Sweeney humorously challenged Tom Cruise, joking "Watch out, Tom Cruise," in the caption of her Instagram video. The stunt was reminiscent of the famous wing-walking sequence in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, in which Cruise himself performed the daring move. The Wing Walk Company praised Sydney's performance, while Top Gun's official Instagram account commented, "Feel the need for speed."

However, actress Leslie Mann responded with a more cautious remark, "Be Careful!!" Sweeney, who has previously showcased other adrenaline-fueled adventures like bungee jumping and helicopter rides, continues to expand her film career. With roles in films such as Everything Sucks!, The Handmaid’s Tale, Sharp Objects, and Euphoria, she has gained recognition in the industry. Her upcoming projects include The Custom of the Country, based on Edith Wharton’s novel.
