‘Stones pelted’ at Vande Bharat train with UP Governor, UT Administrator on board in Gujarat, 1 arrested

Stones were thrown at a Vande Bharat Express train near Utran railway station in Gujarat on Tuesday, causing damage to the windows of two coaches, according to Western Railway officials. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel was among the passengers traveling on the train, which also included her daughter Anar Patel and Praful Patel, Administrator of the Union Territory of Daman and Diu.

The incident occurred as the train was nearing Utran station after leaving Mumbai Central around 3:45 pm. The train halted temporarily after the attack before continuing its journey to Ahmedabad. One person was arrested in connection with the incident, and officials stated that no passengers were injured.
