South Africa's hidden child exploitation crisis demands urgent action

In South Africa, faith-based organizations play a significant role in the country's social landscape. Driven by powerful movements like the March and March Movement (MMM) and the South African Church Defenders (SACD), these organizations aim to instill compliance values and promote respect for prescriptive laws among citizens. Despite South Africa's fractured sense of history, the Publication and Entertainment Act No. 26 of 1963 established a Publication Control Board, ensuring that material submitted by authors or artists was either approved or rejected by the board.

Professor Mukhuba, a leader of SACD, emphasized that the organization accommodates everyone irrespective of color or denomination. The right to worship is protected by the South African Constitution, but SACD falls into temporary mutism concerning the mental injury directed against African Independent Churches (AIC). These churches were once victims of polygenesis, which established the innate and irremediable inferiority of black races. Currently, they face attacks from rogue elements and black self-hate due to our colonial mentality.

The SACD argues that "Corruption cannot regulate holiness," suggesting that the government should allow faith-based organizations to create their own evangelical industry standards. Professionals like Pastor and Professor Mukhuba could lead this initiative, rather than following the example of Rwanda and pursuing state-imposed standards. The role of faith-based organizations in promoting harmony, addressing mental injuries, and fostering inter-religious relations is crucial in South Africa's social fabric.
