Seahawks safety Clark, offensive lineman Richman placed on injured reserve

The Seattle Seahawks have added two more players to their injured reserve list due to injuries sustained during a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. Safety Bud Clark and offensive lineman Mason Richman are among those placed on the reserve list. Clark, a second-round draft pick from TCU, suffered an ankle injury on Seattle's first defensive play of the game and was carried off the field on a stretcher.

Richman, in his second season with the Seahawks after being selected in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL draft, suffered a right leg injury during the team's opening drive in Nashville. Following the game, coach Mike Macdonald described the injuries as "major" and "long-term" without providing further details. With these injuries, Seattle now has three open spots on their 90-player roster following the waiver of running back Anthony Hankerson on Monday.

To fill these spots, the Seahawks have signed tackle Derrick Graham, safety Tysheem Johnson, and running back Justin Jones. Johnson previously played with the Bears and was on Atlanta's practice squad after going undrafted out of Oregon. Jones, an undrafted rookie from Auburn, joined the Seahawks earlier in training camp and played in the preseason opener against the Cowboys.

The injuries to Clark and Richman are the latest to affect the Seahawks, who recently also placed wide receiver Jake Bobo on injured reserve.
