QSFA organizes a package of sports activities for women

The Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA), operating under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has launched a new initiative to promote sports among women and girls. This program aims to increase female participation in sports across various age groups, acknowledging women's significant role in society. The activities include the Ladies Evening, a weekly event held at Education City Stadium in collaboration with Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development. Participants can engage in volleyball, basketball, physical fitness, and badminton competitions.

Additionally, QSFA plans to organize summer races for women and girls at the Aspire Indoor Track, scheduled on September 18, 25, October 2, and 9. The race distances will be tailored to different age groups. Abdullah Al Dosari, QSFA's Executive Director, emphasized the importance of involving women in community sports and accommodating diverse age groups.

He reported that the Federation organized around 38 different championships and activities during the summer, all aimed at boosting women's participation in sports and community activities.

Al Dosari outlined QSFA's goal to foster a sports culture through carefully designed programs suitable for various age groups, ensuring a safe and motivating environment that respects women's privacy. He stressed the importance of providing ample opportunities for women and girls to participate in these programs, which not only promote public health but also increase sports and physical activity levels.
