Colombo, Sri Lanka (AP) — Prasidh Krishna of India took 3-35, playing a crucial role in dismantling Sri Lanka's innings on Day 3 of the second cricket test. Sri Lanka's captain Dhananjaya de Silva was unbeaten on 4 at lunch. Earlier, India declared their first innings at 503 for nine, thanks to 117 runs from Devdutt Padikkal and Druv Jurel's unbeaten 115.

Sri Lanka's innings began precariously, with the team falling to 8 for two by stumps and overnight batter Kamil Mishara departing for just 19. Pasindu Sooriyabandara, who scored a half-century but was dismissed for a duck in the first test, guided Sri Lanka to 130 for four by lunch. Rain disrupted play on Day 2, limiting overs to 58, and further rain on Tuesday threatened to shorten the match even further. India currently leads the two-match series after their first test victory at Galle.
