Passports Directorate sets two conditions for electronic authorization via Absher

Citizens of certain categories can now request electronic delivery of death certificates through Absher, the digital platform from the Ministry of Interior. This service enables immediate family members, employees, or dependents to easily obtain a copy of the death certificate for a beneficiary and have it sent directly to the beneficiary's registered address on Absher.

To request the service, users must log in to Absher, access Civil Affairs Services, then select Death Certificate Services, and submit a request. The Ministry of Interior's Civil Affairs Agency has clarified common questions about the amendment process for death certificate details via Absher. Beneficiaries can request corrections to the country of death, city of death, date of death, time of death, or cause of death, provided the changes comply with approved regulations.

Multiple details can be amended in a single request, and once approved, the beneficiary may request a paper copy of the amended certificate. This can be delivered via the document delivery service or received by checking the request details if the amendment was not approved.
