Pakistan Qualifies for U17 Volleyball World Championship Knockouts

Pakistan secured a spot in the Round of 16 of the FIVB U17 World Championship 2026 after a 3-0 win over Algeria in their final Pool E match in Doha, Qatar. The match saw Pakistan dominate Algerian players, winning each set 25-17, 25-17, and 25-17. Pakistan's dominance was evident in the statistical analysis, where they recorded 37 attack points compared to Algeria's 27.

They also led in blocks 11-8 and service points 4-2. Pakistan forced 23 errors from Algeria, while the Algerian team had 15 errors. Fahad Ali was Pakistan's top scorer with 20 points, while captain Muhammad Irfan contributed 11 points. Pakistan's victory over Algeria was their second win at the FIVB U17 World Championship 2026, following their win against Chinese Taipei.

The win against Chinese Taipei was also their first match of the tournament. Pakistan suffered a 3-0 loss to Iran in their next pool match but staged a comeback to win their final Preliminary Phase match against Algeria, advancing to the pre-quarterfinals. Pakistan will face Egypt on Tuesday, August 25, with a win securing their place in the quarterfinals. This marks Pakistan's first appearance at a world volleyball championship at any level.
