Pakistan Captain Confident Team is Ready for Women’s T20 Asia Cup

Pakistan women's cricket captain Fatima Sana is optimistic that her team is fully prepared for the upcoming Women's T20 Asia Cup, held in Dubai from August 28 to September 13. After an intensive training camp at the National Cricket Academy, the team engaged in competitive 20-over matches against the men's side of the Abdul Qadir Cricket Academy.

These matches, featuring both younger and senior players, were designed to expose the team to tougher opposition and simulate the pressure of competitive cricket. Fatima Sana highlighted the importance of handling pressure, as the team struggled to capitalize on opportunities during the recent T20 World Cup. She emphasized the significance of staying calm in crucial moments and believing in their hard work.

The captain, who was a standout performer at the T20 World Cup, will once again lead Pakistan in T20Is after missing the Sri Lanka series due to her participation in The Hundred. Pakistan, placed in Group A alongside India, Thailand, and Hong Kong, will start their campaign against Thailand on September 1, followed by matches against India, and Hong Kong.

Fatima Sana believes the Dubai conditions, similar to those at home, could potentially benefit Pakistan.
