Pak failed to get targets via Chinese satellites: Ex-CDS

Former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan revealed that Pakistan failed to collect any evidence of their targets being hit during Operation Sindoor, despite their attempts to access commercial satellite imagery. Speaking at the VIMARSH event on Operation Sindoor and its aftermath, General Chauhan explained that commercial satellite imagery is available to everyone, including companies from the US and China, but obtaining such images requires contracts, payments, and waiting periods.

He highlighted that Pakistan tried to access imagery from Chinese satellites but could not establish that their strikes had caused damage. The former CDS also noted that Pakistan's inability to verify the success of their operations led to speculation within the country about potential information withholding by Indian authorities.
