Mumbai Coastal Road Traffic Rules: Police Issue Entry, Exit Points, Speed Limits And Vehicle Restrictions

Mumbai's Traffic Police have announced traffic regulations for the newly-opened Dharmaveer Swarajya Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road and the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link. The Coastal Road, which links Marine Drive to Bandra Toll Plaza, opened for both southbound and northbound traffic. Southbound entry points include Bandra Toll Plaza, J.K.

Kapoor Circle Underpass, Swa. Bindu Madhav Thackeray Junction, and Barrister Rajni Patel Junction. Exit points are Worli Sea Link Gate 2, Barrister Rajni Patel Junction, Vatsalabai Desai Junction, and Amarsons Garden. For northbound traffic, entry points are Marine Drive (Princess Street Bridge), Amarsons Garden, Vatsalabai Desai Junction, Barrister Rajni Patel Junction, Swa.

Bindu Madhav Thackeray Junction, and J.K. Kapoor Circle Underpass. Exit points are Amarsons Garden, Vatsalabai Desai Junction, Barrister Rajni Patel Junction, Swa. Bindu Madhav Thackeray Junction, and Worli Sea Link Gate 6. Vehicles prohibited from entering the Coastal Road and Sea Link include goods carrier vehicles, tempos, trucks, trailers, mixers, tractors, and heavy vehicles, with exceptions for BEST buses and passenger-carrying vehicles.

Prohibited from entering are two-wheelers, bicycles, mopeds, adapted vehicles, scooters with sidecars, three-wheelers, animal-drawn carts, tangas, bullock carts, horse carts, hand carts, pedestrians, and any activity involving vehicle stopping, halting, passenger pickup/dropping, photography, or video recording.
