Meet Lagos Island twins graduate with first class, best student award from LASU

Two twin brothers from Lagos Island, Taiwo and Kehinde Ajitokewu, have made notable achievements in their academic pursuits. The twins graduated from the Department of Science and Technology Education, Faculty of Education at Lagos State University (LASU) during their university's 29th and 30th combined convocation ceremonies.

Taiwo Ajitokewu, who earned a First-Class honours degree in Biology Education, shared his journey on LinkedIn, emphasizing the importance of determination and consistency in achieving excellence. Despite facing skepticism regarding the value of their chosen courses, Taiwo maintained focus on opportunities that others might have dismissed as limitations.

Kehinde Ajitokewu, the Best Graduating Student in Computer Science Education, developed a project focused on digital infrastructure for sustainable development. This project aimed to address the digital divide by promoting digital literacy training, community-based digital hubs, and capacity building for educators. Kehinde also held leadership roles within his university, including serving as LASU SDG Youth Ambassador, Cowrywise Campus Ambassador, and Assistant General Secretary of the Muslim Students' Society of Nigeria, LASU.

Both brothers received various accolades during their undergraduate years, including national and international scholarships, recognitions, and mentorships. They expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of their family, teachers, lecturers, mentors, and friends throughout their academic journey. The siblings are now open to both local and international opportunities, emphasizing that their background should not limit their potential.
