Max Verstappen, typically trailing behind 21 Formula 1 rivals, will face a gargantuan challenge on September 16. The Dutch driver will commence the day from the very back of the field at Silverstone Circuit in England, aiming to overtake 100 karts, celebrities, athletes, influencers, and fans. Dubbed "Max vs 100," this event claims to be the world's largest go-kart race, promising an unprecedented spectacle.

Viewers in the United States can tune in live on Disney+ and the ESPN App, with delayed coverage on ESPN2. Red Bull's production will feature drone footage, game-style graphics, live race updates, and direct driver communications, ensuring an exciting broadcast that even Love Island pales in comparison. Verstappen, whose racing career began at seven, has clinched four Formula 1 championships, 71 victories, and 48 pole positions.

The Silverstone track has been specially modified for this unprecedented event by race director David Terrien, a French driver, former youth karting world champion, and kart designer. He acknowledges the immense difficulty in organizing such a massive field, noting that no race has ever accommodated 100 competitors on a single track.

Sebastian Job, a two-time Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup champion and Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing, predicts the full challenge will be extremely difficult, as evident from their half-sized test run. Verstappen's return to the place that launched his karting career is described as a natural progression, given his extensive experience in go-karting.
