Man City to launch formal bid for Enzo Fernández as deadline nears, testing Chelsea’s £120m resolve

Reports suggest that Manchester City will submit an offer for Fernández imminently, and the Argentine player is eager to make the move to the Etihad Stadium, where he would be reunited with former Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca.

Maresca is keen to bolster his midfield group, which has been significantly depleted by the departures of Bernardo Silva, Rodri, and Tijjani Reijnders. Additionally, the arrival of Nico Gonzalez is imminent, as the player is close to completing a move to Newcastle United.
