MACC examines claims over Felda Palong 7 oil palm replanting programme

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is investigating claims surrounding the oil palm replanting programme at Felda Palong 7 in Wilayah Raja Alias, Bandar Sri Jempol, Negri Sembilan. The allegations centre on the quality of the seedlings supplied and whether they meet the necessary specifications. This information was disclosed to MACC by Mohd Syahrizal Md Yusuf, chairman of Pertubuhan Badan Bertindak Generasi Palong (Perbagi).

The commission has taken note of the concerns raised, which include the supply, delivery, storage, age, and compliance of the seedlings with required standards. MACC will investigate these claims to ascertain if they constitute any offences under its jurisdiction. The investigation may also involve the relevant technical agency to inspect the seedlings for quality and compliance with specifications.
