LSU football adds former New Orleans Saints, Ole Miss defender

LSU football has added another promising recruit, Zxavian Harris, to its roster. Harris, a defensive lineman, previously played for the New Orleans Saints and Ole Miss. The defensive end, who stood six feet eight inches tall, signed with the Saints, but the team waived him on August 8. Harris, a four-star recruit and top-200 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class, played for Ole Miss for four seasons under head coach Lane Kiffin.

He had a successful college career, starting in all 15 games and recording 58 tackles, including nine for loss and three sacks. Harris utilized a recent Louisiana ruling that granted athletes from the 2022 high school class a temporary restraining order to gain an additional year of eligibility. The six-star prospect is now committed to LSU, following the recent signing of former Ole Miss tight end Dae Quan Wright.
