Kremlin: NATO troop deployment in Ukraine unacceptable to Russia

On Monday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov declared that Russia considers the deployment of NATO military units in Ukraine to be entirely unacceptable. Peskov made these remarks while commenting on statements from what he termed the "coalition of the willing" concerning plans to send military forces to Ukraine post-conflict. He emphasized the significance and importance of this issue, noting that discussions about NATO member states deploying troops to Ukraine were not new.

Peskov stressed the necessity for Russia to take measures aimed at ensuring its security, stating, "We must take action and we must guarantee our security." He reiterated the West's continued hostile stance toward Russia and expressed confidence in Russia's ability to achieve victory in its ongoing special military operation. However, Peskov suggested that the methods to achieve this victory would depend on the prevailing circumstances at the time.
