Jharkhand exam irregularities: Over 100 candidates questioned as CID-SIT expands probe

The CID-Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Jharkhand has questioned over 100 candidates in connection with alleged irregularities in exams conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). The questioning has been based on information from the interrogation of key accused Abhay Tiwari, who formerly worked as a Block Supply Officer in Poreyahat, Godda district, and as a marketing manager with TDPL, an outsourcing agency involved in examination conduct.

Investigators are examining Tiwari's alleged role in various competitive exams and his network of contacts. Alleged deals reportedly charged candidates between Rs500,000 for preliminary stages to Rs6 million for final selection in civil services. The probe has also uncovered allegations of technical network assistance during the PGT teacher recruitment examination.

Tiwari's brother and wife have been arrested, and former JPSC chairman L. Khiyangte, as well as other officials, are under investigation.
