Jelly Roll Jabs Trump Over Weight While Guest-Hosting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

Jelly Roll, the country music star, delivered a pointed political set during his opening monologue as a guest host for Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday (Aug. 24). The artist, who is guest-hosting the ABC late-night show for four nights, alluded to President Donald Trump's recent weight gain in his monologue, joking that he has lost an entire Donald Trump given his own 300-pound weight loss in recent years.

The comedian also mocked Trump's appearance at a Washington, D.C. IndyCar race and ran a montage of the president mocking other people's appearances. Jelly Roll concluded the opening by reassuring the audience that while physical fitness is important, there's no need to stoop to weight jokes. Back for his second consecutive summer, filling in for Jimmy Kimmel, Jelly Roll was joined by guests including podcast host Jay Shetty, actor Glen Powell, and musical guest Stevie Nicks, who is set to appear later in the run.
