Infrastructure is the game changer for Ghana football – Aduana CEO Atta Poku

Aduana FC Chief Atta Poku has expressed his appreciation for the government's renewed commitment to improving sports infrastructure in Ghana. The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, announced plans to construct an additional four mini stadia, bringing the total to ten facilities nationwide. Poku believes these new stadiums in major football cities will significantly impact the development of the domestic game.

He stated that having stadiums in Sunyani, Koforidua, Kumasi, and Wa would enhance the league's quality. According to Poku, improved infrastructure would not only provide venues for league matches but also contribute to better football quality, player development, and talent identification. He emphasized that quality facilities are crucial for maintaining Ghana's status as a major football nation.

Poku also welcomed the government's commitment to completing projects started by previous administrations, stressing the importance of finishing what is begun. He believes that successful completion of these projects would serve as a tangible testament to the government's dedication to football development. Poku believes expanding infrastructure across the country would significantly strengthen the Ghana Premier League, giving clubs better access to high-quality facilities and reducing reliance on the few existing certified stadiums.

Aduana FC is set to open their season with an away game against Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
