‘I’m not going to be denied’: Chantelle Cameron confident heading into Mikaela Mayer unification

Chantelle Cameron is set to face Mikaela Mayer in an August 29 title unification bout in Birmingham, England, and she is confident she will emerge victorious. In an interview with Sky Sports, Cameron stated that she has been putting in immense effort behind the scenes, and she believes that Mayer is not skilled enough to defeat her.

The boxer expressed her anticipation for a career-best performance, stating that she doesn't expect anything to change between now and the fight. "I'm heading into fight week in such a good place – confident and knowing that it's going to take someone really good and special to beat me, and I just don't think that's Mikaela. When I'm thinking like that and acting that out in the gym and everything else, I just know that I'm not going to be denied the victory."

If Cameron is successful, she will add a handful of world titles to her record, but she considers defeating Katie Taylor to be her second-best achievement in the sport. However, she will have to address the financial aspects of her career before she can celebrate her accomplishments.
