Iberdrola reúne a su comité de dirección en Bilbao para analizar perspectivas

Iberdrola convened its board of directors in Bilbao to evaluate future prospects. The company has been examining perspectives for the rest of the year, touching on advancements in strategic markets such as the United Kingdom and the United States. The meeting took place in Bilbao, the home base of Iberdrola, coinciding with the city's festivities.

The board reviewed the progress of current projects and business evolution. As is customary, the company's leadership revisited the situation in the United Kingdom, particularly focusing on the integration of the Northwest England distributor in Manchester, a 5,000 million euro investment last year. In the transmission sector, Iberdrola discussed the commencement of new submarine lines within the 2026-2031 regulatory framework, anticipating a total investment of 15,000 million euros.

The gathering also addressed key projects in the United States, where investments in transmission and distribution networks continue robustly. In this market, Iberdrola inaugurated a marine wind park along the Massachusetts coast, a 4,000 million euro investment. Regarding results, the company believes that increased investments, coupled with the growth of electricity generation in Spain and the positive trend in Brazil's business, confirm the pattern of strong growth in earnings announced in their last results presentation, noting improvements after the summer.

Finally, the leadership addressed the authorization process needed to complete the integration of Caruna, the Finnish electric distributor recently acquired for 5,000 million euros.
