HTU partners Praise Export to boost student training, employability

The Ho Technical University (HTU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Praise Export Services Ltd., a Ghanaian company operating in various sectors such as agriculture, agro-processing, export, hospitality and eco-tourism. The partnership, signed during a brief ceremony in Ho, aims to strengthen practical training and employment opportunities for students and staff.

Prof Ben Honyenuga, Vice-Chancellor of HTU, highlighted that the collaboration aligns with the University's strategy to foster stronger ties with industry for mutual growth. Praise Export Services Ltd.'s CEO, Mr. Godwin Edem Adordie, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, noting it fulfills a long-standing commitment to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

The partnership also encompasses industrial visits, internships, national service placements and professional career development for students and faculty. HTU's reputation for experiential learning, particularly its full-semester industrial attachment program, will benefit from this collaboration, providing students with opportunities to work and learn in various sectors.

The agreement is seen as a strategic move to enhance the University's links with industry and broaden practical learning opportunities for students.
