CANBERRA: Chicago corn futures rose on Tuesday and stayed near three-year highs hit in the previous session after US crop condition ratings fell more than most analysts had expected.
Corn led grains higher Monday as the Pro Farmer tour slashed US yield estimates, while soybeans fell on profit-taking and wheat firmed on Black Sea strikes.
SYDNEY: The Australian dollar held just short of 11-week highs on Tuesday as details from the central bank’s last policy meeting suggested policymakers were closer to raising rates than investors previously thought.
