France becomes first official participant at Expo 2030 Riyadh

Paris, France has become the pioneering nation to officially sign its Participation Contract for Expo 2030 Riyadh, marking a crucial step in its preparations and global involvement. The contract signing occurred during the visit of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to France. This agreement establishes France's participation in the six-month Expo event, outlining the pavilion's theme, location, and space, as well as the experience it aims to offer to visitors and businesses.

The ceremony in Paris was graced by the presence of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Secretary General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) Dimitri S. Kerkentzes. Expo 2030 Riyadh's CEO Talal Al-Marri and COFREX Chairman Jacques Maire signed the contract on behalf of the event. Exposition officials lauded France's commitment, emphasizing the country's rich history of engagement with World Expos and its expertise in culture, innovation, and visitor experiences.

Maire highlighted the opportunity for France to showcase its creativity, innovation, and know-how at the event, which is expected to attract more than 200 official participants and draw 42 million visitors. The theme of Expo 2030 Riyadh is "Foresight for Tomorrow," and the six-month event is set to bring together people and organizations to exchange ideas and explore solutions to global challenges.

Following the event, the site is intended to transform into a permanent global village, leaving a lasting legacy for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the world.
