Farmer electrocuted in Ranipet

A 58-year-old farmer, P. Babu, lost his life after electrocution while operating a motor pump set in his farmland at Pulivalam village near Sholinghur town in Ranipet. According to initial reports, Babu was irrigating his paddy fields when he switched on the pump around 7 a.m. The area had been experiencing frequent rains over the past few days.

Upon discovering the tragic incident, Babu's neighbors swiftly disconnected the power supply and alerted the Kondapalayam police, who promptly arrived at the scene and registered a case. The police suggested that an electrical short circuit might have caused Babu's untimely demise. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
