Drug-Dealing Network Dismantled in San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar

The Guardia Civil has dismantled a criminal network involved in street-level drug dealing in San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia. The operation also uncovered an indoor cannabis plantation with 250 plants. Twelve individuals—five men aged 24 to 65, five women aged 24 to 68, and two minors—were investigated for suspected drug trafficking, criminal group membership, and electricity fraud.

The Guardia Civil's ROCA team in Torrevieja led the investigation, which began after a previous raid on a cannabis-growing operation that uncovered evidence of a larger organization allegedly involved in drug distribution. Analysis of seized materials and surveillance led to searches of five homes in San Javier and San Pedro del Pinatar, identified as key operating centers for the group.

The investigation resulted in the seizure of various drugs, cash, and equipment used in drug preparation and sale. Ten suspects were detained during the searches, while two were arrested later. The minors' cases were reported to the Murcia Juvenile Prosecutor's Office. Five suspects, including the two minors, were released from custody, while seven appeared before judicial authorities and were released under precautionary measures.

The case files have been submitted to the Orihuela Court of First Instance. This investigation is part of the Guardia Civil's ongoing campaign against drug production and street-level trafficking in Murcia and southern Alicante.
