Dragon Ball Z tendrá un parque temático a las afueras de París

France and Saudi Arabia have announced plans to develop a massive entertainment and leisure complex in Cergy-Pontoise, located just outside Paris, with an estimated investment of €6 billion throughout the project's development. The announcement came in a joint statement released following a meeting at the Élysée Palace between French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohamed bin Salman.

The project, to be led by Qiddiya Investment Company, linked to Saudi Vision 2030, aims to create a mixed-use destination featuring entertainment, leisure, hospitality, culture, and sports, with up to three theme parks, one of which will focus on the manga series, Dragon Ball Z. The total investment estimate corresponds to the entire development cycle, marking a significant shift from the Disneyland Paris, which opened in 1992.

The project's location, Courdimanche, is part of the former Mirapolis amusement park site, which operated from 1987 to 1991. This ambitious undertaking is set to generate around 22,000 direct jobs. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen economic ties between France and Saudi Arabia, with the strategic relationship highlighted during Macron's state visit to Saudi Arabia in December 2024.

During the visit, Macron and bin Salman presided over the first meeting of the Franco-Saudi Strategic Council, which was established to deepen cooperation between the two nations. The joint statement also revealed that more than 22 agreements and memoranda of understanding were announced during the visit, spanning defense, healthcare, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, entertainment, and quantum computing.

Both countries emphasized the growth of their bilateral trade, with approximately $11.8 billion exchanged in 2025. They also agreed to strengthen cross-investments, with France already becoming a significant investor in Saudi Arabia, particularly in energy, water management, transportation, and logistics, while Riyadh seeks to expand its investment footprint in Europe.

Additionally, the two governments announced the creation of a specific financial framework to facilitate French companies' projects in Saudi Arabia. They also decided to extend their partnership in AlUla, the Saudi project for tourism and heritage development in the northwest, focusing on archaeology, heritage, and culture, until 2035.

French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu praised the ancient, solid, and forward-looking relationship between the two countries, highlighting the strategic association as a cornerstone of their bilateral relations.
