Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte Expected Return Date Revealed

Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte will return to the team on Tuesday, Sept. 1, per Francys Romero. Initially placed on the restricted list last Monday for failing to show up at the ballpark, Marte later underwent an MRI for a potential knee injury. Following his 10-day injured list placement, photos of Marte at a casino during a Diamondbacks game sparked public criticism, though he did not violate team policies.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo maintained that Marte's actions were his own decision and that he would work diligently upon his return. The Diamondbacks have played six games without Marte, dividing them evenly in wins and losses, but he remains a crucial player with 21 home runs, 67 RBIs, and a .760 OPS this season. The team anticipates Marte's immediate impact as they aim to return to the postseason.
