China’s Xi Jinping likely to attend BRICS summit in Delhi next month, first India visit in 7 years

Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to attend the BRICS summit in New Delhi on September 12 and 13, marking the first time he visits India in seven years, as reported by The Indian Express. The last visit took place in October 2019, just before military incursions along the Line of Actual Control escalated tensions between China and India.

Chinese officials have communicated to New Delhi about Xi's likely visit for the summit. An advance team has already arrived to handle security and protocol arrangements.
