Calls for fresh Tabung Haji RCI draw flak from PKR, DAP

Leaders from PKR and DAP have criticized calls by Perikatan Nasional and Umno for a fresh royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into Tabung Haji's financial management. At a forum in Kuala Lumpur, PN secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan claimed another RCI was needed to reassess TH's finances. PAS secretary-general Razlan Rafii agreed, arguing the prior investigation was used to create narratives and portray TH as involved in a major financial scandal.

Umno Supreme Council member Syahredzan Johan questioned the calls, asking what exactly PN and Umno wanted if their findings did not support their political agenda. He urged state institutions like TH to be used responsibly, not for political gain.
