Bridgewater welcomes home Little League team following historic World Series run

Bridgewater's Little League team returned home Monday, celebrated by family, friends and fans after an historic run in the Little League World Series. Police and firefighters led a parade of Jeeps carrying the team, as over 100 people cheered them on at Legion Field. The team's victory came after a heart-wrenching loss in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, where they were swept by Hamilton, Ohio 10-0.

Player JJ Gaff expressed his appreciation, saying, "It's awesome," adding that the homecoming was a great showcase of support from the community. Neighbors and friends had organized watch parties, glued to their screens, while younger boys and a group of youth football players who had just finished practice added to the celebration outside the arena.

For the local community, the win meant more than just baseball. Coach Tim Zackrison highlighted the invaluable experience the boys gained, mentioning their interactions with international players from Japan and Mexico. "The baseball didn't go the way we wanted to, but they walked away with the experience of a lifetime," he said.
