Boy dies in Tirupattur after swallowing balloon

On Tuesday, a six-year-old boy named K. Somnath tragically passed away in Pachur, Tirupattur, after accidentally ingesting a balloon. The child was the son of S. Kumar, 37, and K. Satya, 33. Somnath was playing at home with his brother when, unbeknownst to him, he swallowed the balloon. His family rushed him to the Government Taluk Hospital in Natramapalli town, where the duty doctor delivered the devastating news that the boy had already succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities promptly registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. The Hindu has established guidelines for user comments, mandating that they be in full English sentences, non-abusive, non-personal, and in line with community standards.
