Blades Brown reveals what he noticed about Wyndham Clark after playing with him this season

Wyndham Clark has emerged as one of the most dominant players on the PGA Tour this season. After a challenging year in 2025, marked by a poor performance and controversy, Clark has transformed his game and secured victories at the US Open, CJ Cup Byron Nelson, and BMW Championship. These wins have put him in contention for the Player of the Year title alongside Scottie Scheffler.

During a recent interview with HITC, 19-year-old Blades Brown, who has had an exceptional season on both the Korn Ferry and PGA Tour, shared his insights into what makes Clark stand out. Brown explained that Clark's exceptional putting skills are the key to his success. "I got to play with Wyndham at the Byron Nelson, and I learned you have to be a really good putter," Brown stated.

"Anything inside 30 feet with that guy is going in." Brown recalled a specific moment at the Byron Nelson, where Clark hit a 40-yard shot right, and then made a birdie from 30 feet. "I didn’t know that a major champion could hit it that far right," Brown remarked, describing Clark's remarkable putting ability.

Brown further emphasized that Clark's putter seems to be the secret to his dominance on the PGA Tour. He observed that Clark had a five-shot lead going into the final round of the BMW Championship, and Brown predicted Clark's victory. However, Brown was surprised when Clark tied with Rory on hole 12, only to make three consecutive putts from 15-20 feet.

Brown attributed this remarkable performance to Clark's exceptional putting skills, stating that his ability to sink crucial putts from short distances is what sets him apart from other players on the tour.
