Asus standalone ROG Xbox Ally X20 finally gets a price tag: How to preorder it

Asus has announced the pricing for its standalone ROG Xbox Ally X20, which will be available for $1,299.99. This is $300 more than the original Xbox Ally X that was released last year. The handheld gaming device can also be purchased as part of a bundle with ASUS ROG XREAL R1 AR glasses, which is priced at $2,499.99. Preorders for both the standalone and bundled Xbox Ally X20 are now open at Best Buy and Asus's official website, with both products set to launch on October 15.

The ROG Xbox Ally X20 boasts several upgrades compared to its predecessor, including a larger and brighter 7.4-inch OLED screen, a see-through black chassis, and improved thermal management to handle the new display. Other enhancements include flatter face buttons, rubberized handgrips, premium TMR joysticks, and a dual-D-pad that can switch between four- and eight-way controls.

The handheld runs on the same chip as the original Xbox Ally X and supports Windows 11's Auto Super Resolution AI upscaling technology. The Xbox Ally X20 bundle also includes a pair of ASUS ROG XREAL R1 AR glasses that provide a colorful 240Hz virtual screen, a USB-C adapter, and two custom cases - one designed by dbrand and another by Pelican.
