Artist says giving up artworks to cover fraud loss hurts less than giving up studios
In May, the Estonian Artists' Association (EKL) was defrauded of nearly €700,000. To cover part of the financial loss, works from the association's collection and newly donated pieces will be auctioned. EKL board member Jaanus Samma said it is less painful to give up artworks than the studios that belong to the association.
