Apple Introduces New Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra

Apple unveils the Mac Studio, equipped with the M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips, promising a significant boost in AI performance and graphics capabilities. The new Mac Studio is set to redefine desktop computing with its focus on on-device AI and high-performance workflows. The Mac Studio boasts an 18-core CPU, an up to 40-core GPU with integrated Neural Accelerators, and up to 128GB of unified memory.

For users requiring even more power, the M5 Ultra version of the Mac Studio scales up to 36-core CPU, up to 80-core GPU, and a massive 512GB of unified memory.

Key features of the Mac Studio include faster AI performance, up to 4.3x faster AI processing, up to 2x faster storage, up to 1.8x faster graphics, and up to 1.3x faster CPU speed. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thunderbolt 5 connectivity ensures seamless integration with external devices and enhanced data transfer speeds. Mac Studio's Thunderbolt 5 also enables clustering of multiple systems, providing up to 3x faster performance for distributed AI inference.
