Apple hiked Mac prices, but the new Polishing Cloth will save you a sweet $10

Apple unveiled a slew of new hardware today, featuring the Mac mini with M6 and M5 Pro chips, and the Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra. While these powerful products garnered significant attention, the focus shifted to a seemingly insignificant addition: a new polishing cloth.

Apple quietly refreshed its Polishing Cloth on the online store, and the headline was the price reduction. The cloth now costs $9 in the US, down from $19, marking a 50% cut. This is an exceptional price reduction, rarely seen from Apple.

The company assures that the cloth remains made from the same soft, nonabrasive material, safe for use on any Apple display, including those with a nano-texture coating. It is unclear if the cloth's size or any other aspect changed apart from the price.

Interestingly, the new M6 and M5 Pro Mac mini saw a price increase. Meanwhile, the Mac Studio with M5 Ultra saw a $200 price jump. However, Apple opted to make the polishing cloth more accessible by lowering its price.
