Andrew Tate exaggerates and did not own supercars in photos, his lawyers say

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate, who portrays himself as "uberwealthy," actually did not own the supercars, yacht, and luxury vehicles he often showcased on his social media, according to his legal representatives. Tate and his brother Tristan are currently detained in a Florida jail, awaiting the conclusion of extradition proceedings.

They were apprehended in Miami last month, following the revelation of new charges, including sexual offenses, by British prosecutors. Both men vehemently deny these allegations. Their legal team argues that the Tates' lifestyle and wealth claims are exaggerated for the sake of online attention, as their business model heavily relies on generating views and income from their social media presence.

They claim the government has not substantiated the Tates' grandiose assertions of wealth and resources. Prosecutors contend that the brothers possess significant resources, including money and a substantial social media following, which also suggests a propensity for intimidating vulnerable complainants. The Tates were paid to promote the superyacht in question, and many of the cars they showcased, such as an Aston Martin and Bugattis, were rented.

The brothers have previously denied any wrongdoing and are dual British-US citizens. They gained prominence following an appearance on Britain's version of the reality TV show Big Brother in 2016, where they flaunted an ostentatious lifestyle.
