‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’ Trailer: Sacha Baron Cohen Returns as the London Bad Boy in New Amazon MGM Mockumentary

Fictional talk show host Ali G is set to return to theaters in a second big-screen adventure titled Ali G: Who Iz I?, as Sacha Baron Cohen reimagines his iconic persona for a new generation. The newly released trailer reveals that the world has changed significantly since the last installment, with Ali G noting the events of Wars, COVID, and the rise of Ed Sheeran. He plans to return to the top with a brand new documentary-style approach.

Ali G's girlfriend, who is pregnant (played by British comedian Morgana Robinson), joins him on his journey as he takes random classes and participates in various TV shows. The trailer promises a blend of action, drama, heartbreak, and plot twists, accompanied by the latest TikTok trends. The official logline states, "Faced with an extra mouth to feed, he gets off his batty and heads to America to reclaim his former glory... but soon encounters adversaries who will ultimately threaten his and his child's very existence."

Cohen, who wrote and directed the film, filmed the project in secret over the past year. The new movie, also written and directed by Cohen, marks his feature directorial debut after working with directors Larry Charles and Jason Woliner on the Borat movies. Ali G: Who Iz I? is set to premiere on October 23rd. Fans can currently explore Cohen's previous movies on Blu-ray via Amazon.
