Ajayi escapes hamstring injury, set for Coventry

Hull City defender Semi Ajayi has escaped a hamstring injury and is set to play in the team's upcoming match against Coventry City, according to PUNCH Sports Extra. Ajayi had been substituted during Hull's 2-0 victory over Manchester United due to hamstring stiffness, raising concerns about his availability for the next game. However, subsequent checks have confirmed he is fit to play, along with fellow goalscorer Noah Mendy, who had also left the match with an adductor complaint.

Hull City's manager, Sergej Jakirovic, had not initially planned to make the substitutions in defense, stating that Ajayi was complaining about his hamstring and Mendy about his adductor. Ajayi scored the opening goal in the 17th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after a corner taken by Oli McBurnie, before Mendy doubled Hull's lead in the first half.

Hull City went on to secure a 2-0 win against Manchester United, with goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis making several crucial saves as Manchester United struggled to find a response.
