The film is a crime mystery thriller that follows a widowed crime author whose real life mirrors one of his novels when his 8-year-old son is abducted. He turns to his estranged father, a retired police detective, for help and uncovers a connection to a decades-old convicted serial killer known as The Whisper Man.

On Prime Video, "Motor City" is an action-thriller with minimal dialogue and a rock-heavy soundtrack. Starring Alan Ritchson, Ben Foster, Pablo Schreiber, Lionel Boyce, and Shailene Woodley, the movie is set in 1970s Detroit and follows John Miller, a Vietnam War veteran seeking revenge after being framed for a crime he didn't commit.

Hulu's arrival of "Desert Warrior," a $150 million historical epic, brings a morbidly curious perspective. The film stars Anthony Mackie and takes place in 7th-century Arabia, following a princess who defies the wishes of a ruthless emperor and teams up with a legendary bandit to unite warring tribes and stand against the ruler. Despite its large budget and star power, the movie ended up being a box office bomb, grossing less than $1 million.
