49ers owner Jed York texted woman he believed was a prostitute before his arrest in police sting

San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York used an alias to send text messages over two days to a woman he believed was a prostitute, according to a police incident report. York initially responded to an advertisement placed by police on a known prostitution website and sent two unanswered messages, stating his name was "Joe" and that he wanted to visit the woman.

On Sunday, York texted again, saying he wanted to see the woman and asked for her address. He then took a rental car to a mobile home park in Ohio for their meeting. Police found York at the park, and he was arrested when they stopped him at the main road. York was charged with two misdemeanors and pleaded no contest, receiving a one-day jail sentence for each offense and a $1,150 fine.

The $160 seized from him was given to the human trafficking task force. The team's coach, Kyle Shanahan, stated that the arrest would not impact the team or York's involvement.
