40 years begging, Rs 8.4 lakh in sacks: Karnataka woman leaves family stunned after death

A video purporting to show Suresh Gowda's daughter, Aishwarya, allegedly slapping a police officer at a temple in Mandya district has surfaced. The footage, obtained from a CCTV camera, depicts the incident at the Aarti Ukkada Temple in Srirangapatna taluk on August 12, during Bhimana Amavasya rituals. Aishwarya, who arrived at the temple, objected to Police Sub-Inspector Savitha B. Patil blocking her entrance.

This led to an altercation between the MLA's daughter and the officer, resulting in Aishwarya slapping the police official. The officer then retaliated, leading to a physical confrontation that was subsequently broken up by onlookers. A police spokesperson confirmed that an FIR has been filed against Aishwarya based on a complaint lodged by Patil.

Aishwarya has also lodged a counter-complaint, which is currently under examination. The arrested individual has been booked under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita.
