2027: ‘Leave if you won’t support APC’ – FCT chairman threatens residents [VIDEO]

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the chairman of Kuje Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo, has warned residents who may consider voting against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In a video clip that has been shared widely on social media platforms, Shekwolo stated his stance on the matter. He emphasized that he would not permit anyone in his council to oppose President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid or to work against the ruling party.

The chairman highlighted the developmental projects initiated by President Tinubu and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, within his jurisdiction as reasons why residents should support the APC. According to Shekwolo, residents must choose to align with the APC or vacate his area council. He made it clear that he would not compromise his position, stating, "I have said in my area council that it's either you are for the APC or you leave the area council.

I am not arguing about it at all." He further explained his stance, saying, "You know why? I cannot have the Minister and the President doing what they are doing, then on the day of the election, you will now say you want to match me. I will not agree."
