2 accused granted four-day physical remand in TikToker murder case

Two individuals accused of murdering TikToker Shamsu Bibi were granted four-day physical remand in a Taxila court on Monday, according to police sources. The two suspects were presented before Area Magistrate Mohammad Asif Iqbal, who transferred them to police custody for further interrogation. Investigators are seeking to determine the extent of the alleged shooters' involvement in the Aug 14 killing and identify those who allegedly planned and executed the attack.

Simultaneously, the victim's father, brother, and uncle were also produced before the magistrate and subsequently sent to Adiala jail on a 14-day judicial remand. Police allege that the three family members had a role in planning or facilitating the murder, though these claims remain to be established in court. The investigation into the high-profile case has taken an unexpected turn after police alleged that the killing had been premeditated and involved members of Ayesha's family.

The victim's father had filed a murder case following the incident, and the investigation expanded as police detained suspects, examined CCTV footage, mobile-phone data, and other technical evidence. The motive behind the murder remains under investigation and yet to be determined by the judiciary.
