Zelenskyy: Ukrainians will never be a bargaining chip in disputes between capitals

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized on Monday that Ukrainians will never be a bargaining chip in disputes between world capitals. This stance was reinforced by the nation's resilience during the ongoing full-scale war against the Russian Federation. Zelenskyy stressed that Ukrainians will not be used as paving stones under the feet of leaders and will not submit to anything they do not believe in, particularly their dream of independent living.

He highlighted the confidence of people from all regions of Ukraine, emphasizing that they are all equally Ukrainian, brave, and dreamers. Zelenskyy pointed out that the future of not only Ukraine but also Europe is being decided in the Russian war against Ukraine. He warned of the risk that the war could be settled at the expense of Ukrainian independence and the lives of its people.

Zelenskyy expressed the belief that Ukraine will achieve a dignified peace with the help of friends and partners, acknowledging that no single nation could withstand such a powerful war alone. He stressed that a people must not be left without support when faced with such brutality and war.
