In his most recent season with the Minnesota Twins, Topa appeared in 23 games, posting an 0-1 record, a 8.05 ERA, and 12 strikeouts. Prior to that, he had a 1-5 record, a 3.90 ERA, and 49 strikeouts during the 2025 season with the Twins. With this move, the Yankees are adding another seasoned reliever to their bullpen as they approach the latter stages of the 2026 season.
