Work from Home advisory issued for Gurgaon offices

On Monday, the Gurugram district administration advised corporate offices, government and private schools and institutions to allow their employees to work from home on August 25. This recommendation came after heavy rainfall on August 24 that could potentially cause waterlogging and traffic congestion across the district. Deputy Commissioner Gurugram warned of the potential waterlogging and traffic issues in a post on X.

The advisory aims to reduce traffic congestion and enable swift repair and maintenance works on roads and drains by civic agencies. Separately, a dilapidated building collapsed in the Chandni Mahal area of Delhi due to heavy rainfall. The incident resulted in damage to three to four two-wheelers, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi had already notified about the building's condition and ongoing repair work, which was ongoing at the time of the collapse. Police are coordinating with MCD authorities to address the situation.
